If you apply for a patent or go through other formalities with the Patent Office, you can directly submit or send the application documents or other documents to the acceptance office of the Patent Office or any of the above patent agencies. When submitting documents, you should pay attention to the following matters:

 What should be noted when submitting application documents

(1) The application documents submitted to the Patent Office or the documents for handling various formalities shall use the form uniformly formulated by the State Intellectual Property Office. The application documents shall be in duplicate, and the formalities documents may be in duplicate.


(2) One form can only be used for one patent application.


(3) The applicant shall keep the draft of all documents submitted to the Patent Office to ensure the consistency of the documents filled in during the application examination and approval process, and may use this as a reference when replying to the examination opinions.


(4) The application documents shall be sent by registered mail. If you cannot send the application by registered mail, you can send it by express mail instead of by parcel post. In addition to the detailed address (including postal code) of the patent office or the patent agency, the registered letter should also be marked with "application documents" and "accepted by the Patent Office of the State Intellectual Property Office" or "accepted by the Patent Agency of the State Intellectual Property Office". It is better not to submit the application documents through the express company. The application date shall be the actual receipt date of the acceptance office of the Patent Office and the patent agencies. A registered letter shall contain only the application documents or other documents of the same application. After mailing, the applicant shall properly keep the stub of the registration receipt.


(5) The Patent Office will not accept samples, samples or models when accepting patent applications. In the examination procedure, when the applicant submits the sample or model at the request of the examiner, if it is submitted in person at the acceptance window of the Patent Office, it shall present the Office Action Notice; In case of mailing, the words "submit the model as required by the examiner ××× (name)" shall be written on the mail.


(6) If the address of the applicant or patentee has changed, please timely propose the change of the bibliographic items to the Patent Office; When the applicant terminates the agency relationship with the patent office, he/she shall go through the change formalities with the Patent Office.
