On March 22, the official website of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security showed that the Sichuan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security recently issued relevant notices to carry out the declaration of the 2022 support plan for returning overseas students in Sichuan to start their own businesses. According to the notice, Sichuan will give a one-time subsidy of up to 300000 yuan to overseas Chinese entrepreneurs who have passed the review.

The notice shows that the applicant can apply for the support fund for the start-up of overseas Chinese entrepreneurs in Sichuan Province only if he/she meets the application conditions such as returned overseas students who have a nationally recognized master's degree or above, own independent intellectual property rights or invention patents, and the cash assets of the enterprise's registered capital is not less than 500000 yuan.

It is reported that Sichuan will give a one-time subsidy of 300000 yuan, 200000 yuan and 100000 yuan to each enterprise in key, excellent and start-up categories for overseas Chinese entrepreneurs who have passed the review of the support plan for overseas Chinese returnees to start their own businesses.

The relevant funds are mainly used for overseas students' research and innovation, intellectual property application and protection, market development, loan interest payment, personnel placement, team building, etc.

According to the notice, this application is made by combining online application and submission of offline materials according to the procedures of online application, online review and submission of offline materials. The applicant shall submit offline materials after the online review of the application of "Sichuan Expert Talent Management Service Information System". The deadline for online application is April 13, 2022.
