1. Query through China Trademark Website
China Trademark Website provides 6 services: trademark approximate query, trademark comprehensive query, trademark status query, trademark announcement query, error information feedback, and goods/service items.
In the comprehensive trademark query, five query methods are provided: international classification number, application/registration number, trademark name, and applicant name (both in Chinese and English). To query whether it has been registered, just use the "trade name".
2. Go to the Trademark Office for inquiry
The applicant may directly inquire about the trademark in the relevant administrative department of the Trademark Office.
First, the applicant should find the inquiry window, then get the Trademark Inquiry Form, fill in the Trademark Inquiry Form correctly, and finally submit it to the window for inquiry.
3. Entrust an agent to inquire
Entrust a trademark agency to inquire. Just give the name of the trademark to the agency, and they can help find it out.
If it is an entrusted agency, it can be selected from the agencies registered by the Trademark Office. Entrusting an agency that has not been registered may bring some bad effects.
If you choose to go to the Trademark Office to inquire about registered trademarks, we should pay attention to:
1. Fill in the Trademark Inquiry Form with clear and standard words, and use capital letters when filling in letters;
2. If there are restrictions on filling in the Trademark Inquiry Form, only one word trademark and one category of goods or services can be filled in;
3. The goods or services must be filled in according to the name in the Table for Distinguishing Similar Goods and Services. Note that the group name of the goods classification cannot be filled in.
